Tamia Drops “Today I do” Song to Commemorate 19 Years of Marriage with Grant Hill

Through the hectic celebrity life singer Tamia and retired NBA star Grant Hill have managed to make the it 19 years in love and Mrs. Hill released her “Today I do” to bask in the moment.

The couple got married in 1999 and the Canadian singer actually posted a snippet of the ceremony on her Instagram to accompany her new single. Tamia tells Essence that she loves to sing about love, but even more so wedding songs. “Today I do” was specifically crafted for her upcoming album Passion Like Fire. It is her ninth studio album and it is set to release on September 7.

The couple has overcome hardships like a married couple, one of the biggest being Tamia’s diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). Though despite her condition the songstress was able to birth two girls: Lael Rose Hill, 10 and Myla Grace Hill, 16.

On OWN’s series Black Love, Grant Hill recollects that time he fell in love:

One day, in the morning, she made this bomb French toast,” Grant recalls. “And I was like, ‘I could marry her.’ I mean, she’s strong, she’s beautiful, she’s a fighter, we’re compatible, and she can cook? And so, I knew I could marry her,” he said in the preview.

They can agree that the key to marriage is the simplicity of it all, the biggest key being a simple “Good morning,” and “Good night.”
