The-Dream Inks 23-Million-Dollar Publishing Deal

This past week The-Dream sold 75 percent stake of his catalog in a $23 million deal with Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited.

The deal secures 302 songs from the platinum songwriter, who has written hits such as Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) and Rihanna’s “Umbrella.” In fact, the package includes 25 Billboard hits and four Grammy Award-winning tracks.

The company who is owned by Beyoncé’s former manager Merck Mecuriadis is a music IP investment company. Mercuriades has also managed Elton John and Guns N’ Roses.

According to Billboard, Mercuriadis believes, “The-Dream is not only arguably the culturally most important songwriter of his generation, but he has written the marquee songs for the culturally most significant artists.”

The producer shared with Instagram the amazing news, noting that he is working on his 2016-2024 catalog, meaning we can only expect more hits and major moves from The-Dream.
