Rapper/R&B singer Tory Lanez has been found guilty on all three charges stemming from the shooting of Megan “Thee Stallion” Pete on July 12, 2020. The charges included assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence

Despite his denials and attempts by his legal team to dispute the allegations, the jury deliberated for a total of seven hours and appears to have believed Pete’s testimony and the original recorded statements of  her former friend Kelsey Harris.

Harris seemingly attempted to contradict parts of  her recorded statements, leading lawyers from both the prosecution and defense to remind her that her immunity deal still left her open to perjury charges.

District Attorney Kathy Ta  also ask the judge to add witness tampering charges additionally but the request was denied by Judge David Herriford.

Tory Lanez was immediately taken into custody and will be awaiting sentencing behind bars.
