Wale Leaves Roc Nation Management, Collaborates with Jerry Seinfield

Wales’ representatives say that the DC-native has parted ways with Jay Z’ s management label Roc Nation after five years. The emcee has reportedly signed with 77 North Management, popularly known for representing Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James.

According to sources, the artist’s choice to change management is not a result of any issues with Roc Nation. He is simply doing what he feels is best for his career.

Roc Nation still manages several major label artist including Meek Mill, Melanie Fiona and Casey Veggies. Recently, Rihanna left Def Jam to sign to company’s record label division.

In other news, the 29-year-old is putting the finishing touches on his upcoming project Album About Nothing. Jerry Seinfeld is set to appear on the project, as reported in 2013, when the comic spoke about his work with the rapper.

“I got the call from Wale and DJ Omega here,” says Seinfeld, whose famed television series Seinfeld inspired the album title.

“They called me to come in. I had to be here. If I’m going to do this, this is the guys I’m going to do it with. And now I did it, and that’s it,” explains the award winning comedian/actor.
