Walemania, the premier wrestling extravaganza held annually during Wrestlemania week, returns to the Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia on Thursday, April 4th.
Created by Grammy-nominated artist Wale and orchestrated by The Ringer’s Kazeem Famuyide and Emilio Sparks, Walemania promises an unparalleled fusion of music and wrestling. Produced by Andria Parides, the event unites fans and athletes alike, offering a night of exhilarating entertainment.
The festivities commence with a live episode of The Masked Man Show, followed by special performances, surprise appearances, and a tribute to this year’s “Guest of Honor,” the esteemed Shelton Benjamin. With a wrestling career spanning two decades, Benjamin’s legacy extends from collegiate championships to triumphs in WWE and Ring of Honor.
Wale expresses his anticipation, stating, “Bringing my friends together from the world of music and wrestling is something I truly look forward to doing every year leading up to Mania Week. This year is going to be the biggest one we’ve ever done, and I’m excited to offer my fans and friends a distinctive experience.”
The star-studded guest list features wrestling luminaries such as Ricochet, Samantha Irvin, MVP, Omos, A.J. Francis, Angelo Dawkins, Meta-Four, Killer Kelly, and Shazza McKenzie, among others.
Musical performances by Connie Diiamond, Nick Papz, and 3ohBlack, accompanied by DJs Money, Cory Townes, Tommy Carlucci, and Gigi Rosa, will set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Renowned wrestling commentator Van Lathan will also join the festivities.
