Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent is bringing back the G-Unit sneaker line through a renewed partnership with Reebok, reviving one of the defining hip-hop footwear collaborations of the early 2000s.
Multiple sneaker industry outlets reported this week that the G-Unit Reebok line is scheduled to return in 2026, nearly two decades after the shoes disappeared from retail shelves.
The relaunch centers on the Reebok G-Unit G6 silhouette, a model tied closely to the rise of G-Unit Records and the commercial peak of 50 Cent’s music career. The original collaboration debuted in 2003 during a period when brands increasingly turned to rappers and entertainers to expand beyond traditional sports endorsements.
News of the return gained traction after G-Unit member Tony Yayo discussed the project on “The Real Report” podcast, saying the sneakers were “coming back” in partnership with Reebok. Sneaker industry reports later stated that retailers had already received product presentations tied to a planned July release window.
The comeback follows months of speculation among sneaker fans after 50 Cent appeared in social media videos wearing original G-Unit Reebok shoes. Industry observers linked the sightings to broader demand for early-2000s fashion and footwear revivals.
The original G-Unit sneaker partnership became one of Reebok’s most visible entertainment collaborations. The company previously signed artists including Jay-Z and Nelly as it expanded deeper into music and streetwear culture.
While Reebok has not yet issued a formal product announcement on official channels, sneaker publications have continued reporting that the relaunch is expected later this year.
The return could give Reebok another entry point into the retro sneaker market, where brands have leaned heavily on nostalgia-driven releases and archive collaborations to reconnect with consumers who grew up during the 2000s sneaker boom.
