Atlanta-based construction and infrastructure firm Rohadfox Construction Control Services Corporation celebrated its 50th anniversary Friday with a themed event titled “50 Shades of Blue,” bringing together business leaders, employees, partners, and community members for an evening honoring the company’s legacy and growth.
The celebration highlighted five decades of Rohadfox operations in construction management, infrastructure oversight, and transportation development projects tied to Atlanta and other U.S. markets.
The company has played roles in projects connected to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, transit systems, and public infrastructure initiatives.
50 Shades of Blue was a beautifully crafted event that showcased Rohadfox’s contribution to Atlanta’s growth and development. This event led many civic and community leaders in attendance to celebrate and recognize Joy Rohadfox.
“You can have support but not be supported. To have the community leaders support me throughout these five decades has meant the most to me,” explained Rohadfox to the audience at the event.
Guests attending Friday’s event wore blue-themed attire in keeping with the “50 Shades of Blue” concept, which symbolized both the anniversary milestone and the company’s corporate branding. Social media posts from attendees showed formal wear, live entertainment, networking receptions, and tributes recognizing the company’s history and leadership.
Atlanta’s mayor, Andre Dickens, along with other city officials, declared the date May 15th ‘Joy Rohadfox Day.’ It was proclaimed because her commitment to excellence, her impact on infrastructure, and her dedication to creating opportunity make her deserving of this recognition. It is a celebration of both her legacy and her continued influence.
Founded in 1976, Rohadfox has grown into a nationally recognized minority-owned program and construction management firm. The company has been associated with major airport expansion and infrastructure efforts, including work connected to Atlanta’s ATLNext development program.
The anniversary celebration also reflected the company’s standing within Atlanta’s business and civic communities. Executives, project partners, and supporters gathered Friday night to recognize the organization’s long-term presence in the region’s infrastructure and economic development landscape.
