Singer-songwriter Justine Skye has released a Jersey Club remix of her song “Ear Candy,” tapping DJ Jayhood to reimagine one of the standout tracks from her recently released EP, “CANDY.”
The remix arrives months after the March 27 release of “CANDY” through Warner Records. DJ Jayhood’s version transforms producer KAYTRANADA’s original production with the rapid tempo and signature kick patterns associated with Jersey Club music, further emphasizing the dance-focused direction Skye has embraced in recent releases.
“CANDY” followed the release of Skye’s single “Thong,” which was also produced by KAYTRANADA. The EP builds on the momentum generated by the 2025 singles “Oh Lala” and “YAP,” both of which helped establish Skye’s growing presence in dance music while maintaining her R&B roots.
The project features contributions from Baby Tate, Machinedrum, Daniel Caesar, and two collaborations with KAYTRANADA. Together, the tracks showcase Skye’s continued evolution as an artist blending elements of soul, house, and electronic music.
Over the past year, Skye has expanded her reach through international touring, fashion appearances, and a series of releases that have connected with audiences across genres. Her move into dance music has included songs inspired by club culture and festival settings, helping broaden her fan base while remaining grounded in themes of self-expression and personal growth.
Skye is scheduled to make her debut at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Aug. 2, where she is expected to perform material from “CANDY” alongside selections from her catalog.
Outside of music, Skye has continued her advocacy work in mental health awareness. She served as a keynote speaker at the 2025 Active Minds Conference, where she discussed the importance of openness and support in addressing mental health challenges.
“Speaking up about mental health isn’t a weakness — it’s a strength,” Skye said during her speech. “[When] we open up, we not only heal ourselves, we inspire others to do the same.”
Beginning July 26, Skye will launch a North American headlining tour that includes stops in Atlanta, New York, Washington, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, in addition to her appearance at Lollapalooza.
