Beyoncé Nominated for First Oscar for King Richard Song

Beyoncé’s long list of accolades continues to grow as she received her first Academy Award nomination.

The iconic R&B singer received the Best Original Song nod for “Be Alive” from the movie King Richard, which is based on father of Venus and Serena Williams

This grand accomplishment follows her breaking the record for the most Grammy wins in history.

“The marriage of a movie and a song is a kind of magic that’s unmatched in entertainment.” Will Smith explained to EW, “I was so happy when Beyoncé called.”

The 94th Academy Awards will air on ABC March 27th.
