Bronny James Suffers Cardiac Arrest

According to reports, Bronny James, son of Lebron James, collapsed during practice with the USC Trojans. The incoming freshman, went into cardiac arrest yesterday morning and is now in stable condition. Those on the scene reported that James collapsed to the floor during practice and was unconscious by the time paramedics arrived. Sources revealed that a 911 call was frantically made at 9:25 a.m. on Monday at USC’s practice facility.

James was treated immediately at the hospital and later sent home. It’s been reported that he is now in stable condition! The news of yet another young athlete going into cardiac arrest is a bit alarming and shouldn’t be taken lightly. We believe there needs to be a much higher priority placed on health amongst our athletes.

As the news broke out, many sports media professionals shared their reactions, including ESPN’s, Stephen A. Smith.

“Anything we’ve heard about Bronny James, we’re thinking about an All-American and somebody that has aspirations of being in the NBA. We’ve heard the great Lebron James allude to his dreams [of playing] in the NBA with his son. And all that gets thrown to the way it comes to something like this. If you know anything about Lebron James, you can say whatever you want, people can be critical, but nobody debates what a loving, wonderful father he is and how much he loves his children.”

He also went off-air to share a heartfelt Tweet about the quick actions of the medical staff: “When you hear something like this, you thank the good Lord that the medical staff was there in attendance, he wasn’t practicing by himself with nobody around, that there were people around to see what transpired and ultimately come to the rescue.”  Such was the case with Damar Hamlin and the fast-acting responses of the emergency team on the field.
