#3 Timberwolves at #2 Nuggets | Full Game 1 Highlights | May 4, 2024

In a surprising Game 1 upset, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the defending champion Denver Nuggets with a final score of 106-99, taking an early 1-0 lead in the series. Anthony Edwards emerged as the standout performer for Minnesota, scoring a playoff career-high 43 points along with 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. He received strong support from Karl-Anthony Towns, who contributed 20 points and 4 rebounds, and Naz Reid, who scored 16 points (including 14 in the fourth quarter) and grabbed 4 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Nikola Jokic led the charge for Denver with an impressive stat line of 32 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals. Michael Porter Jr. also made notable contributions with 20 points, including four three-pointers, along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

With this victory, Minnesota leads the best-of-seven series 1-0. Game 2 is scheduled for Monday, May 6th, at 10:00 PM ET and will be televised on TNT/truTV. The Timberwolves will look to maintain their momentum, while the Nuggets aim to bounce back and even the series on their home court.
