Urban Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Dakari Eli recently interviewed comedian Josh Johnson about his career including his new stand-up special, Josh Johnson: Up Here Killing Myself.
Johnson not only talked about his childhood favorites, but how he used some of his darkest moments as source material for his latest taping.
Having started performing stand-up comedy professionally in 2012, he also found success as a writer for The Daily Show with Trevor Noah five years later. But before that happened, Johnson struggled in poverty.
Recorded in 2022, Josh Johnson: Up Here Killing Myself is now streaming on Peacock.
