Dave East Announce Tracklib Beat Battle Competition

Rapper, songwriter, and actor Dave East has announced his upcoming event with Tracklib: a beat battle using Tracklib’s extensive catalog of music samples.

The winner of the competition earns placement for an official single with the Harlem-based rapper/actor, while Tracklib covers the flight and accommodations to New York, from anywhere in the world.

The first place winner–hand-picked by Dave East–will have their track officially released as a song by Dave East with them as the official producer. The winner will be flown out to New York for a studio recording session with Dave East himself. All expenses paid for by Tracklib. They’ll also receive standard writing credits and publishing on the song, sample clearance of the song they’ve sampled, and one-year standard subscription to Tracklib.

East will shout-out two runners-up on all socials, who will also receive a one-year subscription to Tracklib.
East, who has collaborated with producers like Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Harry Fraud, AraabMuzik, and more, sees this as a chance for producers at all levels to showcase their ear for beats.

“Tracklib gives you the opportunity to use samples that maybe you didn’t think you could use or find,” said East. “Samples you maybe never found before. I think it’s a great platform to explore your own visions and push your creativity to the next level.”

Tracklib’s team is also excited about the collaboration. “This competition is a great way for producers to not only flex their creativity, but for artists to see what Tracklib is capable of,” said Tracklib CEO & Co-founder Pӓr Almqvist. “Our deep and unique music catalog of original recordings–curated for sampling–is waiting to be discovered and we can’t wait to see what participants create with it.”

To compete, creators must sample any song or multitrack on Tracklib and submit their beat by the end of the day Sunday, January 23, 2022 (all time zones included) through this link.

The winner of the beat battle will be announced on all Tracklib socials, in the Tracklib newsletter, and on the Tracklib blog page in March, 2022.
