A young woman has made a public accusation that controversial podcast host/personality DJ Akademiks attempted to contact her through social media when she was a “newly” 18-years-old high school student.
This follows an old video, reportedly from 2014, recently going viral where an alleged 20-year-old Akademiks suggested there wasn’t much difference between a seventeen-year-old girl and a 20-year-old woman.
“…And to keep it real if you think about it in the bigger scheme of things, there’s not much difference between a 20 or a 17 or a 21 and a 17,” Akademiks said in the clip. “Just kinda means one’s a minor and one’s not a minor. But listen, I will say I adopted this rule which I think is fine. I said, listen, as long as a chick got a college ID she’s getting f*cked. I don’t care if she 17, I don’t care if she 17 and a half, I don’t care if she just turned 17, she gon’ get this d*ck.”
DJ Akademiks alleges the resurfacing of the video clip is part of a smear campaign from rival vloggers.
However, the vlogger was allegedly approaching 30 when he sent a heart emoji/sticker to then 18-year-old girl who made the recent accusation. Though she didn’t respond, he is facing wide condemnation for what seems to many as inappropriate.
At press time, he has yet to respond directly to her allegations.
