Event Recap: A Woman’s Worth Awards Dinner


On Sunday, March 18, 2018, over 90 attendees gathered for “ A Woman’s Worth Awards Dinner” at The Manor Club. Hosted by Sheryl Hatwood, CEO/Founder of Endless Voice Productions, the dinner acknowledged the strength of character in women in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT) who have purposed to advance humanity by her optimism and determination.

Sheryl is an advocate for women who are walking in their purpose and impacting lives and created the awards dinner to celebrate and recognize those who selflessly give back while overcoming their own adversities.

Lisa Ascolese also known as “The Inventress” was the keynote speaker. Five women were recognized as change agents in their communities, becoming recipients of the very first A Woman’s Worth Awards: A Dorian Murray Thomas (2018 AWW Young Achiever), Jacquee Porter (2018 AWW Silence Breaker), Tijuana Fulford (2018 Wave Maker), Gina Avila ( 2018 AWW Boundary Breaker), and Tanya Alford ( 2018 EVP Renaissance Woman).

Lawrence and Linda Burnett were the recipients of the 2018 Parents Recognition Awards and Karen Burnett won the A Sisters Reach award.

Guests enjoyed Meselum Green Salad, Pan Seared Chicken, Stuffed Salmon with Spinach and Ricotta Cheese, Wild Rice Confetti and Quinoa Tricolor, followed by a dessert of fresh fruit and an assortment of cupcakes.
