The 2nd Annual Harmonizing Futures brought together artists, entertainment leaders, executives, philanthropists, and supporters for an evening focused on expanding access to music education for the next generation.
Presented by Lady Trumpet Inc. and led by founder Syreeta Thompson, the event supported scholarships for students to attend GRAMMY Camp through the GRAMMY Museum, along with efforts to repair and replace instruments in school music and performing arts programs.
Recording artist Omarion served as host, lending his platform to the organization’s mission of creating more opportunities for young creatives.
The evening also welcomed Tony Award-winning actor, singer, and dancer Ben Vereen and three-time GRAMMY Award winner Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole of The Clark Sisters.
Other guests included GRAMMY Award-winning artist, author, and philanthropist Chandrika Tandon and iHeartRadio personality Todd Wharton, who served as red carpet host.
Thompson, who also serves as a New York Chapter governor for the Recording Academy and a MusiCares board member, has positioned Lady Trumpet Inc. around connecting young people with opportunities in music and the performing arts.
Sponsors included Joanne Saint-Vil, owner and nurse practitioner at The Luxe Medical Clinic, and Black Radiance. Committee members Aaron Charles, Alex Acey, and Ray Warren worked alongside Thompson and Lady Trumpet Inc. to help bring the event together.
A key focus of the evening was the Founding 100, a growing community of supporters committed to providing ongoing funding for music education. The initiative is designed to create year-over-year support rather than limiting involvement to a single event.
Looking ahead to 2027, Lady Trumpet Inc. plans to help additional students attend GRAMMY Camp while expanding its instrument repair and replacement initiative into three more school music and performing arts programs.
The message behind Harmonizing Futures extends beyond one evening. Through scholarships, school support, and continued fundraising, Lady Trumpet Inc. is working to build long-term access to music education and create more opportunities for students to develop their talents.
