Janet Jackson Leads Emotional Tribute at AHF World AIDS Day Concert in Houston

Janet Jackson wowed a packed crowd at the NRG Arena in Houston during the AHF World AIDS Day Concert. Her performance, starting with the emotional song “Together Again,” paid tribute to those lost to AIDS, touching the hearts of fans.

The event drew big names like rapper Willie D, artist BeatKing, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and others. It aimed to honor those affected by HIV/AIDS and raise awareness, with proceeds supporting AHF’s initiatives.

Debbie Allen received a standing ovation for her tribute to AIDS victims, and actor Blair Underwood received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his three-decade-long advocacy.

AHF’s President highlighted the ongoing challenges in fighting HIV/AIDS, urging global support. Despite progress, with nearly 30 million receiving treatment out of 39 million living with HIV, AHF aims to help two million more by 2024.

The concert, known for its stellar performers and honoring advocates like Princess Diana and Senator Bernie Sanders, stands as a powerful reminder of the ongoing battle against HIV/AIDS, uniting communities worldwide.
