NYC LOVE Event to Celebrate 1990s Hip-Hop and R&B Culture in Manhattan

Organizers Tammy Ford, Aria F. Wright, and June Garcia are inviting New Yorkers to relive the music, fashion, and culture of the 1990s with a one-night event celebrating the era’s influence on hip-hop and R&B.

“NYC LOVE,” scheduled for July 31 at Casa CeCe in Manhattan, is being promoted as a tribute to the artists, innovators, and pioneers who helped shape New York City’s cultural identity during what organizers describe as the “golden era of 90s hip-hop & R&B.”

Nick Storm, a New York-based host and entertainer, will serve as the evening’s host. Music will be provided by DJ KAOS.

Promotional materials describe the event as featuring classic hip-hop and R&B songs from the 1990s, along with fashion inspired by the period.

“This is for the ones who know the 90s weren’t just a decade — they birthed a culture,” organizers said in a statement announcing the event.

The celebration is set to run from 6 p.m. to midnight at Casa CeCe, located at 315 W. 35th St.

Organizers said attendance will be limited because of the venue’s capacity and encouraged guests to RSVP in advance via NewYorkCityLove26@Gmail.com.

The event is being billed as a one-night-only experience centered on New York City’s role in shaping hip-hop and R&B culture.
