Rihanna is not the one to play with at all. Feeling a way about her rendition of Jay Z’s “Run This Town”being removed from the network’s Thursday Night Football intro, the pop star wasted not time expressing her anger on Twitter.
Though the song was scheduled to return this week and run the remaining of the season, the network has seemingly decided to comply with Rihanna’s public demand.
“Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open,” said CBS senior vice president of communications Jen Sabatelle in a statement. “We will be using our newly created Thursday Night Football theme music to open our game broadcast.”
