R&B artist AKIA released “Pajamas,” the first single from her EP “Crazy,” due this summer on SinceThe80s and Human Re Sources. The song features AKIA’s vocals over subdued production and finds her in full command of her sound.
“‘Pajamas’ captures confidence and intimacy, offering a glimpse into the sound and viewpoint shaping ‘Crazy,’ ” AKIA said in a statement.
The single follows “DND,” released March 14, which has exceeded 1 million streams across platforms and earned spots on editorial playlists including R&B Now, Grown N Sexy, Mood., Pillow Talk, Breaking R&B, Tearjerkers and Fresh Finds R&B.
AKIA’s debut EP, “DUMB,” introduced her songwriting and vocal style. On “Crazy,” she expands her perspective while building on the momentum of her earlier work.
