Late Sunday afternoon, singer Trey Songz (Tremain Aldon Neverson) was arrested following an altercation with a police officer during the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills NFL AFC division championship.
After asking taunting fans in the stands quiet down, recorded footage shows an officer struggling to detain Songz while he was seated at the Arrowhead Stadium.
Soon after, he appears to land a punch to the officer’s head right before placing him in a headlock.
The singer was eventually was overpowered and detained by additional officers who arrived minutes later.
According to reports, Trey Songz was arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. The charges include two misdemeanors and a low-grade felony for the dispute.
It has been rumored that he would be released sometime Monday evening.
