Today Ubisoft, a leading creator and publisher of interactive entertainment, announced a partnership with actor and comedian Adam Pally to act as spokesperson for the Shape Up video game launch campaign.
Pally has collaborated with Shape Up on a number of activities including the launch trailer and will be hosting the ULTIMATE SHAPE UP SHOWDOWN event in Los Angeles, CA on November 20th.
“We are excited to work with Adam to bring his wit and spontaneity to the Shape Up launch campaign,” said Carrie Bischke, brand integrations director, Ubisoft. “Shape Up strives to prove that having more fun leads to better results and Adam’s humorous personality helps bring this message to life.”
Adam Pally is best known for his regular role as Dr. Peter Prentice on Fox’s The Mindy Project, as well as Max Blum on Happy Endings. Additionally, he recently announced the formation of his new production company, Clone Wolf Productions.
Available now, Shape Up invites players to ditch their boring gym exercises in favor of fun, yet effective fitness routines that keep players motivated and entertained throughout their workout session.
The game uses three game modes – Quick Play, Training Quest and Online Match – and a collection of fun fitness challenges to prove that having fun while working out will lead to better results in the end.
In fact, Shape Up is proven to be 25% more effective than traditional workouts. The free Shape Up Battle Run app allows players to stay connected to their fitness regimen even while on the go. Players can accumulate points during their real-world runs that will factor into their overall progress in-game.
Keeping with the competitive spirit of Shape Up, the ULTIMATE SHAPE UP SHOWDOWN will pit consumers against each other in a battle for who will be crowned King/Queen of Shape Up! Hosted by Adam Pally, fans will compete in a bracket-style competition using the 90-second quick burst challenges from the game.
The winner at the end of the day will be crowned by Adam Pally, and receive an Xbox One with Kinect entertainment system and a copy of Shape Up. Everyone is invited and all participants will receive Shape Up swag including t-shirts and headbands. The ULTIMATE SHAPE UP SHOWDOWN will take place at The Microsoft Store in Century City, CA (10250 Santa Monica Blvd, Century City, CA 90067) on November 20th from 4-6PM.
