Women’s Month Tribute: Gary Gaston – Black Woman

black woman

She as in her as in this black woman who never folded even when the odds were stacked against her

Different settings as in time eclipsing the moments of her strength

From refusing to get up when told she couldn’t sit in the front of the bus

To the woman who added to hair care so there more options than just a brush

To a point in time where congress couldn’t see a black woman’s point of view

Behind every black man was a strong woman it’s true..

From grandmas hands of prayer or the inspirational words like baby it’s going to get better..

Black woman overcome whatever is thrown their way..

To leading us to freedom or using what little they have to feed us , I must say Queen you deserve it all..

From my mothers, mothers, mothers and raising children in spite of circumstances.

Black woman we hear your call..
