Alyssa Thomas Helped Save Connecticut Sun’s Season

Finishing with the first triple-double in WNBA postseason history, Connecticut Sun’s Alyssa Thomas, helped her team stay afloat with a Game 3 win over the Las Vegas Aces last night! Sealing the win with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists, Thomas fueled the final minutes of Game 3 after Las Vegas made a few runs leading up to the fourth quarter.

They just kicked our ass in every way possible. If there was a stat on mental toughness and physicality, they would have kicked us there, too,” said Aces head coach, Becky Hammon.

Connecticut reacted quickly to Vegas’ early 9-2 run by answering with a 25-4 run of their own to end the first quarter. Their largest lead was 23 points in the first half before the Aces managed to regain some productivity on offense. By the time the fourth quarter started, however, the Sun were firmly in control after opening the final quarter with three easy baskets. With a tally finally in the win column, the Sun host the Aces once again for a Game 4 at 4PM ET.

Can the Sun tie up the series? How will the Aces respond? Who will win their first WNBA title??

Stay tuned in..
