Apple to Release Steph Curry Documentary “Underrated”

Steph Curry

As reported by AppleTV+ News, Apple will be producing a documentary on Steph Curry, arguably the best shooter the game of basketball has ever seen. Titled, “Underrated,” the documentary was acquired by Apple Original Films from A24a film production company behind HBO’s Euphoria & more. “Wakanda Forever” director, Ryan Coogler, has also taken on the producer title under his Proximity Media banner. Peter Nicks (“Homeroom”) will be the director.

The documentary is said to span as far back as Steph Curry’s 2008 NCAA Tournament performance, where he averaged 34.3 points, 3.7 assists, and 4.0 steals, on 50.8% FG shooting and 52.8% from downtown. And continues to follow Steph’s career, all the way up to his fourth NBA title; which he won last season. Along with his first NBA Finals MVP trophy!

Trophies aren’t the only thing Curry has secured in his professional basketball career. Among his many achievements, Curry has surpassed Ray Allen in the NBA’s all-time record for three-pointers made. He’s also signed a lifetime deal with Under Armour that is reportedly worth more than $1B!! And even despite his hectic schedule, Curry has managed to earn his degree from Davidson, this year; a promise to his mother and head coach, Bob McKillop over a decade ago.

Yes, Bill Russell holds the most rings, and yes, names like Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Lebron James, and many others, come to mind when you think of NBA elites. But Steph Curry’s name definitely deserves to be in those same conversations where these names are spoken. No questions asked.
