A&R Report: Chino

When did you start performing?
I began performing about 5 years ago. First major performance was Birthday Bash Block Party 2015 for Hot 107.9. It was an epic experience. Lately I have been doing open mics all around Atlanta and Columbus Georgia, and have been getting great feedback and a lot of experience!

Name some artists who have inspired or influenced you.
Several artists that have inspired me I would say are: Future, YFN Lucci, Meek Mill and of course T.I. and so many more. They are trendsetters and leaders that hold it down for the south. I relate to all of their stories and we speak the same street language, and I have been told I sound like T.I. mixed with a little Meek Mill, which I take as a huge compliment.

How would you describe your style?
My style of music is sophisticated with an Atlanta swag and Dirty South lingo. I am constantly trying to learn how to make my sound unique and diverse. I believe that you should always learn and grow from the past, but always adapt with change. Hip Hop should be more realistic and lyrical with our culture.

What separates you from other artists?
What separates me from other artists is that I stayed down with my own swag and style. I’m not only a recording artist but an all-around entertainer. An artist who wants to have several hit songs on the Billboard charts simultaneously like Drake and Migos, but more. I’m also a songwriter, producer, and performer. I work hard to be great on each of those platforms and look forward to sharing my work with audiences around the world. My plans also include being an actor, music and media mogul, creating music for Film/TV and progressing in the expanding Entertainment era.

Name major artists you’ve performed with.
I have opened for YSL Gunna in Atlanta, back in March 2018.

Do you have any major offers on the table?
I am signed to Lil Boyz Entertainment. They have worked hard to make my career successful. I really appreciate the team effort. Being independent and reaching the success milestones that we have reached is amazing. My album being on the same platforms and Billboard Charts as Major Artist is a great feeling.… Follow @darealchino3up on Instagram to stay updated.

What advice would you offer other aspiring artists?
I would tell other artists, keep pushing and never give up. Find a support system that is dedicated to achieving the goals toward your success. Work hard, practice your talent, and pursue what your heart wants. Creating music should be a passion, and not just for the money. You want to love what you do every day.
