A vulnerable Texas has been left without power and water for days after severe winter storms attacked the area. With government official’s blatantly leaving their citizens to fend for themselves, Houston native, Beyoncé, displays compassion through her BeyGOOD foundation.

Partnering with Adidas and Bread of Life, a Houston disaster relief organization; their teamwork is providing grants for up to $1,000 for those affected by winter storm Uri. Texas residents, and other states hit by storm Uri, may apply using the Disaster Relief Assistance Application form.

Beyond the current travesties overwhelming Texas, the BeyGOOD foundation has verified its love for Houston by aiding with COVID testing, small business assistance, and hurricane assistance.

Beyoncé’s charitable personality doesn’t stop there; she also has proudly supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the Black Lives Matter group, housing programs, and women’s issues.

The Twitter page for BeyGOOD tweeted: “Vist @BreadofLifeH for more information on assistance. We send our prayers to those impacted by the winter storm.”

Along with Beyoncé’s contribution’s to her hometown, another Houston native, Trae the Truth has taken responsibility for the government’s lack of support by providing food for the hundreds of people desperately left without.

Using his own fund to purchase from Jack-In-The-Box and actively asking restaurants to contact him if they’re open so he can buy food from them as well; the love he has for his community shows no limits.

The unpredicted freezing temperatures are expected to continue throughout the week, leaving defenseless Texas residents without electricity and heat. With Senator Ted Cruz fleeing to Cancun with his family, and ex Colorado City Mayor Tim Boyd telling his citizens, “only the strong will survive”, helping obviously isn’t a concern some members of the United States government.

Thankfully, the responsiveness shown by Beyoncé and Trae the Truth is counteracting for the lack of responsibility.
