Michele Fletcher is many things; a publisher, best-selling author, and serial entrepreneur. With a string of accomplishments behind her, she now has set her sights on the entertainment business.

How do you continue to expand your brand?
I continue to expand my brand by carefully selecting opportunities that will afford me to continue the freedom to do those things that I enjoy most while also continuing to see a return on my investments. My choices are strategic and well thought-out. I am often approached to partner or invest in new endeavors but she may turn them down or wait it out until the time is right while others she may jump in head and feet. One of my newest endeavors is the opening of Breakfast at Union in the heart of DC.

With all that you have accomplished as a publisher, author and mogul – Why is now the perfect time to explore other lanes?
Now is the perfect time to explore other lanes simply because the time is right. People are paying attention. People are sitting around waiting for something to read. For places to go that are safe, clean and entertaining. This is the right time to get people to listen to new music. The perfect time to help someone have the best travel experience that I can provide.

Your daughter Jade Alexis is making quite the name for herself in the entertainment industry as a musical talent. What has your role been?
My role is that of many when it comes to Jade and her career. This really has been a long time coming. I actually introduced Jade to acting when she was nine years old. I had no idea that her talent expanded to her vocals until she was around 12 years of age. My role present day is to teach her the business side of things while she is growing as an artist. I believe it is as important for her to be the owner and author of her own destiny. To provide her with stage presence as well as boardroom knowledge.

How do you balance being her Mom and Manager?
Balance is the key. It does come at a price. Being the Mother of three beautiful girls has had its challenges. Motherhood comes first and foremost. Being a manager for both my daughters Jade and Nyya who are working hard at breaking into their own entrepreneurships has not been easy. I continue to show them both how to go about ownership and lessons how to navigate in the business. I am not going to sugar coat it, it isn’t always easy to make the tough decisions. Nyya is working on and currently in the beauty industry. As a previous salon owner, I can aid and assist her with making good choices and guiding her in her endeavors. While honing in on her skills as a stylist and colorist, Nyya has recently successfully become a certified lash technician and will be launching her own lash line. Jade’s head is on a swivel and she is paying attention. She is asking the right questions and putting in the work. This makes my role so much easier.

You have a wide range of business endeavors. So, what do you have in store for our readership in the immediate future?
My immediate future has several film projects, restaurants, health and beauty franchises in the making for 2022. I look forward to the new year.

What would say is the most common thing that holds people back?
Ego is a problem period in the world today. People don’t know how to work together. I am blessed to be rooted from good stock.
