KD & Brooklyn Nets Agree to “Move Forward”

Tumultuous might be an understatement but after all the confusion, Kevin Durant has finally made a decision. This morning, the Brooklyn Nets shared a statement on social media from their GM, Sean Marks.

If you’ve been following all of the news surrounding the Brooklyn Nets since the start of the 2022 off-season, then you know it’s been a rollercoaster ride. From Kyrie’s near departure to Kevin Durant’s trade requests, it just looked like the Nets couldn’t catch a break. Now, as we near the start of the 2022-2023 season, it appears as though the Nets and KD have finally come to an agreement.

As initially stated, the volatility of the superstar’s relationship with his franchise was the focal point of sports news headlines for weeks. It went as far as KD proclaiming he lost faith in the team’s direction for the upcoming season. Now, whether things have truly simmered down between KD and the Nets, it’s all up for interpretation. Did the Nets simply settle due to multiple teams not having the right package for a trade with the Allstar? Maybe. Who knows.

All we know now, at this point, is that KD is here – in Brooklyn – to stay. At least for the start of the upcoming season.
