The New York Knicks clinched a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday night with a commanding 119-81 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of their semifinal series.
Jalen Brunson led New York with 23 points, six rebounds, and six assists, while OG Anunoby also scored 23 points and added nine rebounds. The Knicks won the best-of-seven series, 4-2.
Jaylen Brown paced Boston with 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists. No other Celtics player scored more than 12 points as the team struggled offensively, finishing with one of its lowest point totals of the postseason.
New York controlled the game from the outset, building a 15-point lead by halftime and extending it throughout the second half. The Celtics were unable to generate consistent offense and shot below 40 percent from the field.
The Knicks will face the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
