San Francisco 49ers Defeat Dallas Cowboys, Advance to NFC Championship Game

Cowboys fans, y’all good?

This past weekend, the Dallas Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers, ending their playoff run in the divisional round. Critical mistakes might haunt players these next couple of weeks, but not as much as Dak Prescott. The iconic football team showed a lot of progress these past couple of years, and expectations were high. This loss was hard.

The Cowboys had their mentality set on not falling behind early in the game – something they experienced in their last match-up with the 49ers. The defense started out strong, even forcing the 49ers to settle for a field goal at one point. There were even glimpses of offensive greatness, but then things took an ugly turn. From blocked kicks, interceptions, conversions, and defensive breakdowns, it was all bad for “dem boyz.”

Cue in the second half and the mistakes just kept piling on for Prescott and the Cowboys. As the minutes and seconds winded down, it was clear that the season was coming to a close. While Dallas did get a last attempt with 45 seconds left, they came up short. Which seems to be the story of their season. Once again.

As you can imagine, the sports world had a field day.

So, what’s next for the 49ers? They will now face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game. And you know Philly and their fans are ready!

The Eagles are currently favored by 2.5 points in the NFC match-up, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Not to say that the 49ers aren’t a good team, I mean, they just ousted the Cowboys, but let’s not take the Eagles lightly either. Did you not all witness what they did to the Giants? They’ve earned their respect as a squad this year, no doubt, and there’s no telling what more they’re capable of doing.
