Skip Bayless Taps Lil Wayne For ‘Undisputed’ Appearances

With Shannon Sharpe’s departure from FS1’s “Undisputed,” there had been a large void to fill, and the expectations were high. As seasoned a commentator as Skip is, finding the right balance for the popular sports show is essential for its continued success. After a two-month hiatus, “Undisputed” is set to return later this month, and it was recently revealed that former NFL cornerback, Richard Sherman, would replace Sharpe. Yesterday, Skip also Tweeted out a photo of himself and Lil Wayne that revealed the rapper’s involvement in the show’s new theme song.

Wayne’s original “Undisputed” record, “No Mercy,” was a banger but Bayless shared that he believes “Good Morning” is even better. “He outdid even his all-time great self,” he wrote. In addition to his musical contribution, Wayne is set to appear on “Undisputed” on a regular basis. Every Friday, the 40-year-old rapper will participate in one of the show’s segments, lasting 12-15 minutes. If he does well and provides another level of entertainment for the show, his involvement could be extended.

As a dedicated viewer of “Undisputed,” I’m curious to see how this new dynamic between Bayless and Sherman plays out. I’m also excited to see the seamless integration of Hip Hop and sports with Wayne’s weekly contributions. Only time will tell if the show made the necessary upgrades, post-Sharpe.
