Tiffany Haddish has taken to Instagram to publicly address accusations of sexually abusing minors that have surface recently.

A person referred to as “Jane Doe” along with her younger brother who is referred to as “John Doe” allege that Haddish and fellow comedian Aries Spears of several crimes including intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, sexual harassment, and sexual abuse of a minor.

Haddish’s statement reads, “I know people have a bunch of questions. I get it. I’m right there with you. Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing[sic] legal case, there’s very little I can say right now. But, clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn’t funny at all – and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it. I really look forward to being able to share a lot more about this situation as soon as I can. “

Haddish is facing additional allegations including negligent supervision/failure to warn, breach of fiduciary duty, and constructive fraud.

The allegations stem from the taping of two short supposedly comedy skits including one where Jane Doe was directed to simulate oral sex and another shot the following year where John Doe was portraying a child being babysat by a pedophile.

Jane Doe, now 22-years-old, was only fourteen during the alleged incidents while her brother was seven. According to Jane, the two were asked to perform sexually suggestive acts on camera each a year apart.

It has been reported that the mother of the kids is a former friend of Haddish.
