A first of many honors, we hope, for Connecticut Sun Head Coach, Stephanie White! Today, White was named the WNBA Coach of the Month for the month of May. Not a bad way to start her first season with a new team! Last month, White led the team to a 4-1 record, marking the best start by a Sun head coach in franchise history. One of the favorites heading into this new season, Connecticut now enters June second in league standings, and first in Eastern Conference Commissioner’s Cup rankings.
We’d say she’s adjusting to Connecticut quite nicely.

Ironically enough, White’s first win as the Sun’s head coach was against the Indiana Fever. White’s first head coaching position was with the Fever in 2015 and 2016. She ended her coaching run in Indiana with a 37-31 record.
White and the Connecticut Sun are back in action this Sunday, June 4, as they face off against the Dallas Wings. Live from Mohegan Sun Arena, the game tips off at 1:00 p.m. ET.
