Writing Sessions America #WSAATL’s Music Biz NYC 2017

This past Saturday, Writing Session America (WSAATL) held listening session/music workshop with many of the most accomplished and respected music executives in the game, offering advice to aspiring singers, songwriters, and music executives.

Hosted in Midtown Manhattan’s Perl Studios by legendary A&R and music executive Kevin Shine, the panel including renowned vocal coach Anhk Ra, power broker and Columbia Records A&R Executive Gary “Bolo” Sargent, acclaimed music supervisor/producer Hassan Shareef, Grammy Award winner producer Mahogany Beatz, and our very own publisher/editor in chief Be’n Original.

“I was honored to be among so many extraordinary and accomplished executives and tastemakers who donated their time and years of experience to guide future stars and tastemakers in making their dreams come true,” BE’N ORIGINAL explained.

“There was so much required information shared that I have no doubt that those present have a great advantage moving forward.”

Kevin Shine led the panel’s discussion through several key topics including songwriting, collaborative projects, brand management, professionalism and the sacrifices required to be successful.

“Music is spiritual. If you want to have a long career, the goal is to develop music that stands the test of time. Think beyond the here and now.”

Some of the talents and executives in attendance include Caleya Black, Ray Lynch, Charmayne, Cas Weinbren, Henny Hendrix, Ms. Gabrielle, Jae’are, Sunny McCoy, and artist managers Shannel Finch and Summer Little.

We were also given a treat with an incredible song “Risk it All ” played by Angelique Moore that was written in the Songwriter BootCamp of Writing Sessions America.
