When did you start performing?
I started performing a very early age, I can remember reaching up to play the piano keys when I was 3 and singing in church around the same age. I started performing my music in my teen years but have really only started doing it professionally this year.

Name some of the artist who have inspired or influenced you.
Michael Jackson was a huge musical influence. I appreciated that he gave everything to his image and his music creating a message of peace and love through his pop music. I also grew up playing classical music so Mozart was one of my favorites. He helped me learn the science of music, the patterns that make it so powerful.

How would you describe your style?
I call my style dark pop. I really enjoy writing music that has a deeper and layered meaning. Although it might be set to a fun beat, I hope it leaves you with a feeling that both uplifts you and also makes you think. The three songs I have released and the new ones coming up are part of the ‘Anything for Diamonds’ project and it will take fans through a range of emotions.

What separates you from other artist?
Hmmm not sure I would compare myself to other artists. But I do think that I create music that deals with issues and doesn’t hide them away. There’s a big need for that in music today: songs that help us process rather than encouraging us to wallow. I am also proudly straight edged. And I truly care and connect with my fans. My Aviants bring me so much joy everyday and they are growing so quickly!

Do you have any major offers on the table?
I do not currently however I know they will come. The music industry is watching, especially since my songs have been getting real play time on streaming services. (Thank you Aviants! ) My management team and I have a great plan for the coming months that will have me performing live, releasing a new single and creating a video for my fans. The momentum has been so gratifying.

What advice would you offer other aspiring artists?
I would offer two pieces of advice. The first would be to get out of your own ego. Connect with your fans. Don’t let your ego get wrapped up in your writing. Remember that without your fans, your art is wasted. Ego makes you an empty voice, connection makes you powerful. I would also tell artists to never give up. This is hard work but if you believe in something then it is worth the effort it will take to get there.

Any shout outs?
I am so lucky to have many people who support me. The first shout out has to be for Urban Magazine and Be’n Original for featuring me. I am very grateful as I have been a fan of this magazine for awhile. I would also like to give a shout out to Rexx Clutch at direct Rhythm Entertainment. Rexx’s tireless work has been such a blessing. I also want to thank Tailorbird Photography and Ashley Moore for their creative vision for my pictures.
