Carmelo Anthony Congratulates The Denver Nuggets

Congratulations to the 2022-23 NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets! On Monday, the Nuggets closed out the series against the Miami Heat on their home court. Defeating the Heat, 94-89 in Game 5, the Nuggets finally won their first NBA ring! Nikola Jokic also took home the Finals MVP trophy as family and fans watched from his home country of Serbia. Coach Michael Malone, and Jokic’s long-time teammate, Jamal Murray, were also praised for their relentless work and loyalty to the franchise.

As the celebratory posts rolled in on social media, a familiar name to Nuggets Nation, and NBA fans, throughout, popped up on the Feeds. Carmelo Anthony, former Nuggets star, sent out a Tweet that has now gone viral.

If you recall, Anthony was the third overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft and called Denver his home for the first seven and half seasons of his prolific career. Despite being regarded as one of the most elite players of his time, Anthony was never able to have much success in the postseason. The love he was able to show his former team was truly amazing to see.
