We understand the pressure artists face when the norms of the business overwhelms them. Few things can prepare you to handle the things that come with success and labor to make it last.
Dealing with phone and in-person interviews, constant traveling, and the long list of things you have to avoid doing or saying to protect your brand could be difficult for any of us.
But, this is why the game isn’t for everyone and most never make it. They are unwilling to do or any many cases, not do specific things in order to win.
However, the reality is undeniable and often goes without saying. You asked for this shit.
The music industry was minding its own business when you decided to become of a part of it. Nobody made you do that. Now that you’re here, you don’t like the responsibility, the demands, or even people who believed and supported you to this point. Now you’re too real for this shit?
It’s easy to downplay chasing the bag after you have it. You sign up for this shit. If you don’t want to do it, you can file bankruptcy, get a job, and live a good and normal life.
But you need to leave the bag though. Don’t worry we’ll give it someone else who really wants it. It’s sad because you’re an incredible talent with so much to offer.
