James Harden to LA: Sixers & Clippers Finalize Blockbuster Deal

We’ve lost count of the days since James Harden voiced his desire to leave Philadelphia via a trade request. The back-and-forth, and fallout, with 76ers president, Daryl Morey, was even tough to watch as a fan. But it looks like “the war is over,” as one source (per Yahoo Sports) expressed.

Months in the making, a deal between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers is near completion. It was Harden’s wish all along to be dealt to his hometown team. He now joins Kawhi Leonard and Paul George while the 76ers are scrambling back to the drawing board – as they look to reload and build around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

As more details are revealed, once the deal is finalized, there are a few key points that have been reported thus far.

Clippers receive:

James Harden, P.J. Tucker, Filip Petrusev

76ers receive:

Robert Covington, Nic Batum, Marcus Morris, KJ Martin

+ Unprotected 2028 first-round pick, Two second-round picks, First-round pick from Thunder, First-round pick swap via Clippers
