Alternative R&B and pop songwriter, singer, and producer LAILA! returned Friday with “Anything Could Happen,” a self-written and self-produced single accompanied by a music video released through three times LOUDER/Warner Records.
The release follows her first summer 2026 single, “Miss Mango,” and continues a run of music that blends introspective songwriting with rhythmic production.
“Anything Could Happen” begins with a restrained opening before building into a bass-driven, dance-oriented track. The song progresses through layered instrumental passages while LAILA!’s vocal performance shifts from reflective verses to a repeating chorus centered on themes of hope and possibility.
The accompanying video, co-directed by LAILA! and Daniel Desnoyers, was filmed in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The visual incorporates camcorder-style footage alongside scenes of carnival celebrations, beaches, open water, road trips, and festival crowds, reflecting moments from the artist’s recent experiences.
LAILA! said the song was intended to encourage listeners to find meaning through both memories and the present.
“I wanted people to be able to dance to it while thinking about their own memories,” she said. “There is so much happening in the world right now, and the song is a gentle reminder that even when things feel like they are falling apart, life is still meaningful. Bad things can happen, but so can beautiful things. Anything could happen if you give yourself a chance. You just have to try.”
The single and music video are available now through Three Times LOUDER/Warner Records.
