Some people pick up the mic because they see it as a way to make a lot money. Others do it out of love. These are artists we respect and want to feature here. Our latest entry, Mr. KiLL combines hard edged truth that can only arise from the streets with the business savvy of music mogul. Peep game.

When did you start performing?
My first official performance really started in a cypher back in ’93. I was more known to beatbox for my friends that were some pretty dope spitters. On that particular day when I started, I would watch as their jaws dropped hearing my very first rap. From then on I feel I was always in performance mode. First time I hit a stage while pursuing this as a professional career was in 2002. I was definitely beyond nervous, not at performing but wondering if they would even like the song. The moment of truth came, I was passed the microphone and all fears or thoughts disappeared….

Name some of the artist who have inspired or influenced you.
“I would have to first say that the more versatile the artist, the more I’m eager to listen to more music.”
The first song I ever truly heard, meaning from beginning to end it became my favorite song of all time instantly… “Dwyck – Nice & Smooth featuring GangStarr..!!
Since then I’ve been influenced and inspired by Kool G. Rap, Tupac, Jay-Z, Nas, BIG, Big L, Big Pun, The LOX, Busta Rhymes, and I could go on for years alone when it comes to individual songs that pushed me to raise the bar on my skill level.

How would you describe your style?
I am an artist that can adapt to any beat or genre style. I am very versatile and a lot of listeners say I ride every beat in a new an original way. My style is pretty much made of every artist you can think of all in one.

Do you have any major offers on the table?
No major offers on the table at the moment. I have had sit downs with a few A&Rs in the past. I was actually blessed with a whole lot of knowledge that I still use to this day.
Currently I am looking forward to joining forces with Unlisted Productions to bring the people a much more creative feel to my music.

What advice would you offer other aspiring artists?
I would definitely say that this industry is 90% business 10% talent. This fact should remain in any artists head the entire length of their career. Also, studying every aspect of this business by researching and communicating with those that can give proper insight on the subject.

Any shout outs?
First I’d like to shout out Urban Magazine and BE’N ORIGINAL for an opportunity to be featured here. Of course my family that has been more than supportive. Everyone that has believed in my talents and have pushed me to go for greatness…!!
